Santa Fe County's Planning Division is set to host planning committee meetings aimed at updating the La Cienega and La Cieneguilla (LCLC) Community Plan. The County's Sustainable Growth Management Plan will guide this update. "This is your opportunity to help guide land-use rules and regulations for the future of your community," said the announcement.

The kickoff planning committee meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 19, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the La Cienega Community Center in Santa Fe, NM. Subsequent meetings will take place on the third Tuesday of each month and are open to all community members. The Community Plan serves to preserve and protect unique communities through a community-driven approach, and the County will work on revising the 2015 LCLC Community Plan during these meetings.

To ensure inclusivity, Spanish translation services will be available at the event, along with translated educational materials. The County also offers auxiliary aids or services for individuals with specific needs, such as interpreters for the hearing impaired or readers for the visually impaired.

The Planning Committee meetings are crucial in the community planning process, allowing members to share insights and visions with Santa Fe County staff. "The meetings will help shape the future of the community," stated the announcement. For comments and questions, individuals can reach out to Nate Crail, Community Planner, at 505-986-2452 or ncrail@santafecountynm.gov.

In summary, the La Cienega/La Cieneguilla Planning Committee meetings provide a platform for community members to actively participate in shaping the future of their neighborhoods in collaboration with Santa Fe County.
